One Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Menchaca RoadAUSTIN, TX (November 22, 2023) – A head-on crash on Ben White Boulevard early Monday morning left one person dead and two others injured.The deadly collision happened shortly after midnight at the westbound 1100 block of West Ben White Boulevard, between south 1st Street and Menchecca Road.At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear. However, the responding officials declared one adult dead at the scene.The identity of the deceased person remains undisclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.Meanwhile, responding medical personnel transported two other patients to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center. Two Pronounced Dead after Three-Vehicle Crash near HendersonRUSK COUNTY, TX (November 22, 2023) – Jonathan Holland and Addison Shepard died Thursday night in a three-car collision on Highway 79, near Henderson.Police responded to the scene at approximately 5:30 p.m., on November 2nd. Investigators say 18-year-old Holland was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado with his passenger, 10-year-old Shepard.Meanwhile, 36-year-old Brianne Nicole Shutter was driving a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The Chevy then slowed down to make a left turn when Shutter was unable to slow down in time. The Jeep then struck the rear of the Chevy.As a result, the Chevy was pushed into the westbound lanes where it hit a 2018 Ram 2500 pickup-truck that was towing a trailer. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The week of Thanksgiving marks a tragic anniversary for journalists at KRON4 in San Francisco. Two years ago, Kevin Nishita was shot while he was providing security for one of KRON4's reporters on 14th Street in Oakland.Nishita, 58, was attacked by a group of men who attempted to steal the reporter's camera equipment. Nishita died in a hospital three days after the shooting. The reporter was not physically injured.Shadihia Mitchell, the man accused of pulling the trigger, and his alleged accomplice, Hershel Hale, were arrested in March of 2022. Both men were charged with murder and are awaiting trial. Oakland police said a third man in the group, Laron Gilbert, remains on the loose. (KRON) --Gilroy police arrested two suspected car thieves early Wednesday morning. Police identified the arrested teenagers as Izaiah Barrera, 18, and Jose Lendechy Jr., 19. Police were initially called to Shire Street at 2:05 a.m. after 911 caller said someone tried to break into their car. At 2:09 a.m., a second person called police reporting that two men were checking for unlocked car doors along Caspian Way and Lusitano Way. "At approximately 5:53 AM, GPD received yet another a call for service regarding a suspicious circumstance in the area of Angra Way and Tecate Ln. The reporting party could see two unknown subjects inside his vehicle through his surveillance cameras," the Gilroy Police Department wrote. The third 911 caller gave police a description of the two men inside his vehicle, which was parked in his home driveway.
