ST. LOUIS -- A police officer is on a mission. After being shot "on duty" on two different occasions, he's training for the St. Louis Thanksgiving Eve tradition, Guns 'N Hoses. It is the police, fire, and EMS boxing matches that benefit The Backstoppers. The organization provides overwhelming support to the families of first responders who die in the line of duty. Heroes and Zeros from Broncos’ win over Buffalo Bills: Ja’Quan McMillian one season’s biggest surprises

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 08:37:36 GMT

Here are the heroes and zeros from Denver’s 24-22 win over the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium on Monday night.HeroesRussell Wilson: Vintage Russ was on display against the Bills. Facing a fourth-and-2 at Buffalo’s 7-yard line, Wilson sensed defensive end Shaq Lawson closing in. He rolled left, reverse spinned, then backpedaled before throwing a 22-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Courtland Sutton to take a 9-0 lead. The catch and throw were insane. But the fact that Wilson’s throw had a 3.2% completion probability, according to Next Gen Stats, made the play even more impressive. Wilson was efficient, completing 24 of 29 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns.Ja’Quan McMillian: Denver’s nickel cornerback has been one of the biggest surprise stories this season. Each week, McMillian has found a way to make an impact. On Buffalo’s first drive of the game, he stripped the ball from Bills running back James Cook and recovered it for one of the Broncos’ four takeaways. He finished...

Broncos four downs: Russell Wilson just cooked Josh Allen, Bills in their own dang kitchen

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 08:37:36 GMT

Initial thoughts from Broncos’ Monday night visit to Buffalo in Week 10 at Highmark Stadium:1. Big Russ cooks: Russell Wilson just cooked Josh Allen in his own kitchen. And with arguably his worst throw of the night.Social media is going to have a field day with Big Russ’ underthrown ball to Jerry Jeudy that set up Wil Lutz’s game-winning 36-yard field goal — on the second try.But give the credit where it’s due: Wilson completed 24 of 29 pass attempts in one of the NFL’s most hostile environments (Although against a defense that’s pretty badly beat-up.)Wilson didn’t just make good decisions on the move — he looked pretty light on his feet. Wilson’s 31 rush yards were his most in a road game as a member of the Broncos. And the stats matched the eye test, whether it was stepping up in the pocket to evade the rush or working the zone read with tailback Javonte Williams.Related ArticlesDenver Broncos | Broncos lineup...
